Fountain Court Apartments is to switch its operation from fully serviced apartments to long term lettings.
The shift in strategy for the long-established, Edinburgh-based business started last month with the handover of the first tranche of fully-furnished apartments to the specialist lettings agency, DJ Alexander.
Fountain Court expects to complete the handover of all 85 apartments to DJ Alexander – and the closure of its serviced apartment business – by December 2020.
The apartments are all in Grove Street and come in a range of sizes, from studios one and two bedroom apartments.
They are well located and are expected to attract professionals working in the city’s financial Exchange District as well as those looking for a home with excellent road, rail, and bus/tram links.
Some apartments feature balconies and most benefit from secure, onsite parking.
Speaking about the change in focus John Neil, Director, said,
“We have operated in Edinburgh for 22 years. In that time there have been many changes in the city but none have affected our business as quickly and dramatically as Covid-19, with an overnight shift to working from home coupled with travel restrictions.
“Our Board has therefore taken the strategic decision to change our business model and we are confident that our well-located, fully furnished apartments will be attractive to a range of prospective tenants.”
Fountain Court will continue to honour existing bookings for its serviced accommodation for dates of stay up to and including 17th December 2020.
